Bill Stubbs

Bill was the Group Scout Leader at 17^th Tonbridge Air Scouts before ‘retiring’ to become the Tonbridge District Air Advisor and to head the Microlight Air Activities Support Team in March 2010. Bill was instrumental in establishing the Microlight Team at Old Hay Airfield

He joined 17^th Tonbridge first as a Band Instructor in November 1985 and worked with the band for 12 years. He became an Assistant Scout Leader for the Troop in March 1987, completed his Wood Badge in 1989 and then became the Scout Leader in May 1991.

He was awarded the Chief Scout’s commendation for a Good Service to Scouting for his work with 17^th Tonbridge in 1998.

A wonderful man with great enthusiasm for scouting and a zest for life.
